Release highlights

  • Upstream reports fixes for preserving Background layers when saving and reopening PSDs, and for an Export As freeze with large layered PSDs.
  • Interface preferences now group settings under Appearance, Presentation and Options. Find Language in Presentation.

What we checked in the browser

In desktop Chrome 155 with WebGL compatibility mode and software rendering, we opened the 640 × 400 practice PSD, hid Coral, restored it with Undo and exported PNG. All 256,000 pixels matched the source. A Save As PSD reopened with three layers. We also checked French menu selection and persistence, and missing Chinese menu glyphs.

Large PSDs, smart objects, text fidelity, other browsers and desktop installation were not tested. CJK menu glyphs are still missing. Download your work before leaving: the browser build has no document autosave or crash recovery.

What we checked in the browser

In desktop Chrome, we opened the 640 × 400 practice PSD, hid its Coral layer, restored it with Undo and exported PNG. The guides link the same three-layer file so you can repeat the check.

This checks a small raster document, not every PSD feature or browser. The browser build still needs manual downloads to preserve work. Our language guide explains the separate website and editor settings and the remaining CJK font limitation.

Guides for this editor

Each guide shows the version actually checked. After a release, we review relevant changes and repeat the task before updating that label. Open a guide for the practice file, steps and limitations.

How to use an updated editor

Download your work before refreshing or closing an existing editing tab. Then reopen the editor to load the deployed version. An update does not back up an open document; keep your original files and check a copy after upgrading.
